Working out of our Austin office, Matt understands how daunting it can be to move through the legal system for those not used to it, and he is an advocate for those who need a legal voice to help them get their lives back on track after an accident that was not their fault.
Born in California but raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Matt received his bachelor’s in Political Science from The University of the South in 2012 and graduated cum laude. Matt went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. During Law School, Matt distinguished himself as a Dean’s Fellow of the Academic Success Program, a Student Justice of the Honor Council, a Notes Editor in Law Review, and a semi-finalist in both the Freshman and Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competitions.
After graduating law school, Matt began his career in law as Law Clerk for The Honorable Kenny Armstrong of the Tennessee Court of Appeals, where he helped draft opinions on a range of issues, including administrative law, civil procedure, family law, property law, and torts. Matt is admitted to the Tennessee and Texas State Bars, and is ready to advocate for people in personal injury claims, such as motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and dog bite cases.
Outside of the office, Matt enjoys traveling with his Wife, Katie, hiking, reading books, listening to podcasts, as well as playing with his dog and two cats.
